John brings a wealth of public company experience to Parallel Mining Corp. Over past 25 years he has been instrumental in founding, helping found and managing numerous companies and successfully raising over $500 million in equity for a number of public and private companies in the United States, Canada and Europe and has been directly responsible for numerous IPO’s and cross border public listings. His specialty is identifying undervalued opportunities and investing capital into these initiatives, and driving marketing and sales with a strong focus on corporate development. Currently he is the president of Purple Fish Capital; chairman of Triumph Gold Corp.; and director of American Eagle Energy.

Martin has over 25 years experience in mining, including mine project operations; management of exploration, contractors, construction and development; compliance and regulation as well as maintenance; and mine operation engineering. Past positions include: Vice President of Operations and Development, Russell Mining and Minerals, Inc; President and CEO of Florida Canyon and Standard Mining; Western Region Technical Services Manager, Cannon Industries; Mine Maintenance Superintendent, Getchell Gold; and Maintenance Supervisor, ASARCO, Sweetwater Mine. He is an MSHA Certified Surface, Underground, Mine RESCUE Trainer, and First Aid Instructor and Equipment Trainer.

John has over 35 years of experience in the investment industry as an Officer, Director, and Portfolio Manager of a Global Precious Metal Fund, which specialized in precious metal equities and commodities with a disciplined, proprietary investment strategy incorporating equity research and the utilization of both technical and analytical frameworks. Mr. Newell is also the President / CEO and Director of Golden Sky Minerals Corp. with properties in the Yukon Territories and British Columbia, Canada.

Ian has over thirty year’s professional experience as an exploration manager and geologist in mineral exploration, project discovery and management and is a FAusIMM and Fellow of Geol. Soc. London. Achievements in project discovery, promotion and funding.

Ian was Exploration Manager at AngloGold Ashanti’s Sadiola & Yatela gold operations in Mali and for Equatorial Resources’ projects in the Republic of Congo. He has also directed exploration programs in the Southern Philippines including a copper gold porphyry belt and the development of an epithermal gold silver resource that was the first new discovery in over 20 years in the Philippine’s Eastern Mindanao Mineral Belt.

Ian has been a Director and Consultant Since 1992 providing exploration, management and geological services to corporations throughout Australia, Asia and Africa. Previous to that Ian held technical staff positions in major resource companies focusing on a number of commodities including gold, diamonds and base metals. Ian has worked on projects involving open pit and underground operations, alluvial diamond mines and brown-field exploration.
